Cockton's Yard, Cockermouth

Cockton's Yard is just off Main Street in Cockermouth.

It is a fine example of the quaint back lanes and yards that exist in Cockermouth.

The terrace of houses were once weaver's cottages that became derelict, and were nearly raised to the ground some time ago...

Fortunately they were saved from destruction and are now comfortable homes...

Much better than yet another car park or supermarket!
