Weihnachtsmarkt. (Apfelstrudel and Coffee!)

And once again that time of year when the Christmas markets in Germany are set up, stand by magical stand. They are decorated with baubles, stars and sprigs, offer food, products and Christmassy things and become the centre of life for three to four weeks.
Apfelstrudel, Stollen, Plätzchen, Christmas in the German-speaking countries is a wonderful experience. Nürnberg, Köln, München, all over Germany. It forms a central part of German culture and is what many German people think of when they think of home. I never understood the real atmosphere of Christmas until I arrived in Germany. Now where did I leave my glass of glühwein? Cheers!
