Borrowed light

Such a rainy day today.  My usual work shoes are super slippery in the wet, so I wore another pair - and soon discovered they had holes in the soles.  Cue soggy feet all day - and an online purchase of some black leather converse.  Hope they arrive soon!

Charlotte and I went over to the Barbican at lunchtime - bought sandwiches at Pret on the way and ate them in the surprisingly peaceful lower ground floor area.  Then had a little wander round - and discovered that the Troika installation (called 'Borrowed Light') we've seen tons of times on the ground floor goes all the way down to the floor below.  It's much more interesting from down there!

We had a good wander round the Barbican shop, too, then battled our way back to work through the wind and rain.  Had another good day at work - all very productive - and a catch-up with my boss this afternoon.

Spoke to my Mum on the way home this evening - nice to catch up with her.  She's still in hospital, but should hopefully be home early next week, once her house is ready for her return.
