Underneath the arches

I regularly drive under this bridge which seems to flood every time it rains. So just lately it's been flooded pretty much all the time.

This evening I ignored the 'Road Closed' sign and found this car stranded in the middle of the flooded road but I managed to squeeze between the bridge and the car and get to the other side without incident.

Apparently the maximum wading depth on a Discovery is 700mm so for the moment I can get away with it. Mind you if we get any more wet weather I might have to invest in a snorkel!

BTW the car was empty so please don't think I left anyone stranded.
