Solar halo

This is the Sun taken at 15.10 today.
This is another earlier shot taken at 12.30 but I hadn't thought anything of it
Coming back from Oswestry later the phenomenon was more pronounced.
Apparently it is caused by ice crystals in thin cirrus clouds which are very cold. The ring is located at precisely 22 degrees away from the sun so it's correct name is a 22 degree circular halo. I think the same thing can happen with the moon.
