Injured Kereru
Belonging to photography clubs gives me wonderful opportunities to go to places I would never be able to without the help of other members. Today NPS visited GingerNan at the Wildlife Hospital. We were able to watch the vet and other volunteers tend to this Kereru, a kea and pukeko. Amazing the work this small group does. This bird had hit a wall and broken bones. It had been sprayed with water to keep the feathers waterproof and makes the Kereru preen.
