Thursday Night

Well, that's week 2 over and all going well on the course. No tears yet and we started with 10 trainee teachers and still have 10! Thursday night, which is our Friday night and I had a wee wander round Zamalek before dinner downstairs in the hotel restaurant. It was me and the four walls for company - not that I mind that at the end of the week to be honest. More demonstrations planned for Saturday and with Tahrir Square still pretty heated with anti president protests, we've been told to steer clear of downtown. It's pretty weird seeing it all live on BBC World, knowing it's literallly 10 mins away by taxi. Must be so frustrating for the younger generation especially if they think democracy's fading away.
