Bits of beef .....

A lot of rain during the night and still wet this morning.
Once everything was fed, left Mr Moffat and crew busy spreading 40 tons of gravel in the newly laid front driveway and headed off to Ingliston for the AgriScot event.
Although mainly a dairy show there is a huge selection of trade stands so able to do a bit of business as well.
This was a Beef demonstration about the different values of different parts of a Beef animal and how to provide what the butchers are looking for today. They no longer want a big heavy carcass , in fact you get penalised at a lot of abattoirs if it is over 400kg deadweight .
The cattle were shown by students from Oatridge college, some leading better than others !
