Jack snipe

first of, thank you for the comments and stars lately! Will catch up soon, need to back blip for yesterday too
A trip to Leighton Moss again today with my uncle. Belated birthday family time :)
No bearded tits this time but did see two species I've not seen before. First was a pintail
Next we were in a hide, mum to one side with her binoculars and my uncle on my right with his large scope both missing the three jack snipe that were right under our noses! lol. Non of us had seen them before so were very happy to be watching them mooch around. The lighting wasn't great sadly.
We also got quite a few distant views of the marsh harriers flying around. One landed on the ground fairly nearby (extra) but manged to stay hiden. We were waiting for him/her to fly back up but of course it was the one brief moment we looked away! Gave us a good view anyway :)
Really lovely day, long though and I'm ready for bed...!
