Tour of Pendle 2018

You can tell it's a bit of the tail end of the race: no one's sprinting after the 5th of the six horrible climbs involved. In fact they're all looking more like an Anthony Gormley collection of static figures. A beautiful day for gruelling endurance testing in the hills.

Pendle Hill does look a complete eco-disaster area though. Just short grass and more close-cropped grass. Some vegetation above ankle height would do wonders for water retention and species diversity I suspect.
