Near miss

Thought I'd light the fire before bath time and bed time for the boys.  The wood is left over from last winter and so is amazingly dry and burns well.  Reading bedtime stories, I tried to ignore the smell of the fire, until  I decided it was more important to go and investigate rather than get to the end of the last story.  I found a rather charred log leaning up against the wood burner.  Last winter all the wood was stacked around the wood burner.  No  more of that for the short time we're here.  

In other news, the surveyor called the husband yesterday to say that all is fine with the house we want to buy.  So I've spent the day organising the exchange, completion and moving date.  Got it all sorted and realised I hadn't asked the husband if it was all ok with him.  Thankfully it is.
