Stole #5

Part five of the detail on my new stole...

Continuing the theme of Ordinary Time being one of Christian growth, the vine reaches upwards, tendrils seeking support as it grows towards the light.

The grapes symbolise the wine of Communion, and the vine continues on the right hand side of the stole. I like the way it doesn't grow straight up but rather winds around, a bit like my Christian growth, I think.
