Rose Cottage

This terrace house was where I lived in the village from age around 8 to 11/12. Then there was a door to the left of the bay that opened into the front room and to the right was a little 2 roomed flat our bedrooms extended over the flat. It was a hovel damp slugs came out of the kitchen floor each night and mum opened the cupboard in the front room and a rat ran out of it into the fire. No bath kitchen sink no toilet no running water and no drain. Mum eventually had 3 children there and every bit of water had to be carted in and out. Earth closet in the garden
Not the good old days.
Been for a haircut and a walk around the village
