Black Madness

New York City on the new holiday...black friday. Hearts are racing, horns are honking and people are shopping at warp speed. I love a great bargain, but I’ve always been a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas. I don’t want to “push and shove” my way through the Christmas season - I like to grab a cup of coffee, a piece of paper and a pen and sit and think through what gifts I would like to get for family and friends that might bless them a little bit. I like to notice the Salvation Army coin box bell ringers, the seasons decorations and pay attention to the “traditions” that my kids remind me of every year.
I will spend time in prayer each morning reflecting on the reason for this season and what we are actually celebrating.
Still it is wild to be in the middle of the craziness sometimes. I hope you find your peace and rest this season and figure out how to keep the madness in perspective. - Happy Holidays!
