The Oldster

He was very bright and breezy for the first hour and a half of my visit today.
Although he has got it into his head that the man in the bed opposite has murdered his wife..??? I think he must have dozed off with Midsummer Murders playing on his TV last night.

He also thinks the 5 other patients are "ancient" and that he is the youngest man on the ward even though quite clearly two of the other patients are younger than me!

I'll spare you his appraisal of the individual nurses .... crikey :/

All of this information imparted to me in a very very LOUD stage whisper.

Then he fell asleep and had to be bundled back into bed with that ghastly great big mask on.
