Geocaching/Pub/Football
Chester played at Southport today so I had an early start with Rick and we completed our hat trick of a geocaching walk followed by CAMRA pub and football. The perfect Saturday day out.
First stop was Birkdale where we had a really enjoyable walk and found some geocaches in the sand dunes (first extra).
Next stop was a trip to the Tap and Bottles in. Southport which is a micro pub I have been to before and is well worth a visit. My blip shows a pint of Golden Sands from the Southport Brewery with an excellent local pork pie and chutney. (Main blip)
Then it was off to the football to watch a 0-0- draw in the FA Trophy which means a replay on Tuesday night. It wasn't a very exciting goalless draw and the thought that the two clubs have to face each other another three times before January 1st isn't exactly thrilling. (2nd extra)
