An Italian Play

Today the metaphorical ice was broken between Laura and I. Obviously the actual ice was broken a while ago by the turning on of the heating! We were invited to a play by Ludovic and some how turned up half and hour so that sort of forced us to make some small talk! I didn't realise that the whole play was going to be in Italian. I didn't understand a word. This is normally the part where I say 'At least it was good for my French', can't even say that. At least it was good to see Ludovic and Elsa!

The day was tiring. I had my only pupil from 8-9, it's very hard to maintain a conversation with her for an hour in English, but at least she's nice. Isabelle had forgotten that I was meant to be helping her so my 9-10 class was pretty much improvised on the spot. I don't like this class at all, they're far too silent. They don't even talk in French! 10-11 was also far too silent, I can't help it if no one cares about politics. Aparently the class I thought were BTS are actually STMG... they were uncontrollable as usual. I don't think I'd be a good teacher because they make me want to give up instead of wanting to try harder to help them.

An afternoon of Skype was nice though and the play wasn't so bad really and I used up the rest of the crumble mixture which makes any day better (even if the oven did burn the center and leave the outside uncooked!)
