The centre
I had to go across to Glasgow for an OU thing, and since the venues were all clustered around Glasgow Central station I thought I'd get a train straight there instead of to the usual Queen St (a few minutes walk away). I didn't realise I'd got the slowest possible train - it had seventeen stops between Edinburgh and Glasgow, some of them places I'd never heard of. I can't say it was the scenic route - this photo was taken somewhere mid-journey, probably between Addiewell and Fauldhouse. I find the centre of the central belt is very unprepossessing.
The evening venue was not very good and the food was fairly dire, but it was good to catch up with lots of old chums.
