CannyScot's Day

Nativity

A dull day

Three of us from Church went down to Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh for a worship leading workshop, which we enjoyed and found very helpful.

Afterwards, we had an hour to spare before we had to catch our coach home, so we walked the length of Princes Street to the Bus Station. It was packed with shoppers and sightseers which made it slow going. There were many lights and special events but what caught my eye in the midst of the busyness and noise was this simple Nativity of beautifully carved figures. Indeed, a perfect illustration of the first Nativity, which took place in the midst of noise and clamour as many folk were in Bethlehem for the Great Census.
