Blue Church Ufa

Some days there are so many blips to choose from!!!!! This is Olga my tour manager/interpreter and Anna and Albina who are looking after us, Olga has come from St Petersburg especially to translate for me, it's the first time she has flown anywhere! She is having a great time, my song Lost is one of her favourites so she is very pleased to be here. Anna and Albina picked us up from the airport last night and have been showing us the sights today.
I had an interview at 3.30 (6 hours ahead here) and then the girls took us to this gorgeous church, the interior is stunning and unusually I was allowed to take photos in there!
I bought some great Christmas presents there and also in a Yurt we visited, very warm inside selling traditional arts and crafts and food. We walked in the snow and looked at their monument of the man who saved the city (will have to look up his name) wielding a scimitar on a horse, overlooking the frozen river and city lights.
This city's main export is honey and then oil, the girls are going to get me some honey and also a honey dessert called chak chak to take home.
We had a fun sound check and lunch at the club, I had sushi dragon rolls, yum!
Everyone is extremely nice here and Zlata who runs the club is delighted I'm here, it's taken them a year to arrange!
I'm back at the Hotel chilling and eating borsch, I'm going to sleep for a couple of hours, they are coming back at 2 to pick me up for my performance, then we fly at 7! No sleep for me, will do my best to sleep on the plane, tomorrow night - Manchester!!!!!
