Night Visitor
It was 5:30 and I had just covered a recently planted Firecracker and Fairy Duster to protect them from the night cold (it's going to be 40°/4° tonight). As I started to close the blinds I noted a blur crossing the yard in the dark. I realized that a cardinal was stopping by for one last sip before hitting the sack. My camera was next to me and I was able to get off this shot. I could have messed with it, maybe to make it lighter or sharper, but you wouldn't have been able to experience some of what I did.
I spent most of the day handling financial business for my mother. Some of it is quite complicated because everything is in the name of her Trust. I was eventually able to sit outside in the sun with her for a while. Later we went to the drugstore so she could print a few of her pictures and to Triple Play for a bite to eat.
