Oh, Deer

We visited 3 state parks today. The cold morning rain prevented us from walking too far at Lake Norman, so we left and drove to a very lovely park, South Mountains, where there is a beautiful waterfall walk. The rangers suggested the ice and falling trees were too dangerous for us to venture out. Finally, at Lake James State Park, we enjoyed a beautiful walk along Patty’s Creek where we spotted the deer walking by.
