Leith

A very good Saturday evening in Edinburgh. Great meal at Beirut in Nicolson Square then wandered over to Surgeons' Hall at 19:10 for a 19:30 start. Had we got our medics mixed up. The event was actually in the Royal College of Physicians so it was a quick dash in a taxi to Queen Street. Made it in time for the #ThinkLikeaMountain event about the impoverishment of Scotland's wild places and the initiatives currently underway to mitigate the way the land is used. I'm persuaded now about lynx and wolves. Train home was packed but we got seats.

This morning it was back on the train to Edinburgh with our friends R&S to continue our Water of Leith walk. Started at Dean Village and ended at the Shore taking in brunch in Stockbridge. It was a bit damp at times and quite cold but a really nice walk. Bus up to Waverley and train home for a cosy evening in.
