Sunset tonight.

The sunset tonight was smashing and I managed to grab this shot before it disappeared. I used the big lens to zoom in on the pylon, which is about three fields away. Some people might not like them spoiling their view but I like them, they're big silent giants.

In other news, I've had the first bird visit my bird table and feeders today. It was a cheeky magpie but hopefully he's the forward patrol and will tell all his or her mates. In the spring I'll get some planting done to provide a bit of cover for them. The parents had a Meadow Pipit in their garden today, which is the first time they've had one visit.
