Red Sky at Night - Brass Monkeys

I know, I know, it should be red sky at night, shepherd's delight, but don't believe a word of it!

Red sky at night often means a dry sunny day to come. OK in summer, but in winter it means clear skies and frosty nights. Not high on a shepherd's priorities.
