Storm front
A day of marking brightened by a roast dinner with Calum. Pork, carrots with coriander, potatoes roasted with rosemary and garlic, sauted hispi, Yorkshire puds and gravy. A glass or two of Soave and the river Douro with Tim and Pru - I might have to take a contemplative glass of Port to round off the day.
For those not in the know - hispi is a vegetable which features greatly in a rather pompous menu from a hotel in Deal. Because I am a trained chef I am able to tame these wild things and bring them to the table
