The last leaf

It's definitely very wintry in Edinburgh now. Most of the leaves have dropped from the branches of the trees in the garden. The one that I have blipped is an exception.

The cold put me off going any further than the garden today. Instead I blogged and completed expenses forms this morning, then worked on a journal article this afternoon.

I have had very little sleep over the past couple of nights so I am feeling rather washed out. Last night, for example, I lay alert from 12:30 until 04:00, then was ready to get up at my normal waking time of 06:00 - aaargh! Here's hoping that I do a bit better tonight.
