Finally happy

There wasn't even a suggestion that I'd be able to continue the running of greetin' faced birthday photos of Ellen. She's been on top form all day from the first act of present shredding to the last of getting her photo taken.

Big 5 although she seems to be driving everyone to distraction with her habit of completely blanking out anyone who's speaking to her if she doesn't want to hear. Her teacher had words today when I picked her up from school but what can you say? She's five. They'll break her eventually and then she'll be complying like everyone else. It'll be a little less frustrating but I can't help thinking we'll lose something along the way.
