In case one of the reasons for waking up early is hunger we've been permitting a near-bedtime wee snack when a wee snack is requested for seemingly genuine reasons (rather than merely because it's one of his favourite things to say) which resulted in three small-orange-variants being consumed this evening, mostly by him though he was quite generous with the middle one. It did not result in an absence of getting-out-of-bed-and-wandering-over-to-the-door, so the post-lunch nap might also have to be permanently de-implemented, which might result in crotchetyness in the evening which would then make the snack a slight risk if there's a risk of there being any petted-lip-wailing shortly after eating a snack, wailing being one of the triggers of random phlegm-instigated boaking.
