Man walks past stairs
At last November is at an end.
I think November is one of those months which are only there to fill out the year and not leave any embarrassing gaps. It's a downhill month, as the days get progressively shorter and darker; the weather becomes colder, wetter, more dismal. I have little patience with November - it's not Autumn any more and it's not yet Winter, it's trying to be one or the other, but just cannot come off the fence and proclaim itself for either.
All hail December, as we are about to step into the month of twinkly lights, men in red suits and Slade. It is now allowed to snow, cars may now fail to start in the morning and from this point on, being early to bed and late to rise is ok in my book.
In other news, it was Emma's school's Christmas Bazaar this evening. All the same suspects were there, including Father Christmas, the soft toy tombola, the cake stall and of course, the Year Six games room - full of small-money-making games mainly constructed of cardboard, aluminium foil and cotton wool with the aim of giving the smaller children something to spend their pennies on in the knowledge that the profits will pay for the whole-school trip to the pantomime in two weeks time.
