He had inherited his Grandmother’s gifts. The gifts that she had, in turn, inherited from HER grandmother. But he did not find much use for the ability to sour a farmer’s milk or to cause a lamb to be born with two heads. He just lived, quietly, on the proceeds of his small but regular lottery wins.
