Carrot, Ginger & Coriander Soup
Today - a day of heavy rain and wild gales of up to 70mph - was a day for homemade soup, my own recipe, too! Inspired by the chance to play with my Boschmangler (aka Bosch Food Processor), I grated three large carrots and one small potato, ground up 25g of fresh coriander leaves and a small piece of root ginger, simmered and liquidised the lot, and - hey presto - a tasty soup!
It was warming for Mr PP to come home to. He'd braved the storms to attend the funeral of a man who was a great influence on him in his teenage years. He paid his respects to the gentleman who was leader of the local Air Training Corps back in the 1960s who died at the age of 96.
Otherwise, it's been a day of catching up with tax returns, responding to emails from editors, and sorting post from our time away. Should have made a start on the laundry, but the weather was too discouraging. It will wait!
Eventually, I hope to catch up with blipmates' journals. Please forgive my sparsity of comments lately. 'Normal service' will resume presently!
