Luminarie in the morning

This is the set of illumination in Kobe to be shown off from 7th Dec.. This has been shown from 1995 in the center of Kobe as the symbol of recovery from Hanshin earthquake in Jan. 1995.

At that time, we were at a loss to lose so many things not only houses and works but also lives of family members or friends.

After the days of struggling of 11 months, the beautiful blaze of this illumination made us happy to live and give us the hope to the future.

Every time when December comes to see this illumination, I remebered the excitement when I saw it for the first time.
