Scrooge

This morning in a well known coffee shop in Grange over Sands, Knottman, Mrs.K and two friends held the founding meeting of the Arnside Scrooge Society. No we are not against Christmas. Our raison d’etre is to persuade the nation that Christmas lights, decorations and adverts should start on December 1st and not before.
But we fell at the first fence. In the middle of our lighthearted discussion on this a waitress came and placed a miniature decorated tree in the middle of our table. And we were too polite to ask her to take it away.

The blip? Well it is good weather for ducks.
These are Muscovy ducks, a breed which originally came from Mexico and Central and South America.
