Nice wobbles
What an excellent talk last night on the folklore of the Irish year - such an engaging, charismatic and erudite speaker - Shane Lehane - who kept us absorbed and enthralled until the mince pies were produced. All so fascinating and he compared the yearly cycle with a life cycle and a daily cycle - all connected. We could go out for another talk tonight - Na Redlegs - about descendants of those Irish (an incredible 50,000) who were sold into slavery in the mid 17C and ended up in Barbados. Oliver Cromwell was involved. More about them here.. It's a pretty wild night so I'm not sure we can face going across the mountain to Schull.
A lovely start to the morning with a skype from son#2 and Esme. Apparently she loved the flights and is already in English time. Son#2 is not and looked wrecked but cheerful!
Irish lesson next - a double one today and my head still hurts.
And a new blog.
Today's pic was spotted in Bantry - not still life i'm afraid but some nice wobbles for Ingeborg's Abstract Thursday.
