Chester Rows

The  Rows in Chester are unique dating from medieval times, although many of the facades were rebuilt and restored in the late 19th century. They consist of covered walkways at the first floor with entrances to shops behind and more shops and premises at street level.  The nearest building is the Boot Inn which opened as an inn in 1643 and part the original wattle and daub walls can be seen inside.
