The last Autumn walk of 2018

Winter tomorrow so as the sun shone at lunchtime I set off for a walk from Peep 'O Day - a high point on the A624  between Hayfield and Chapel-en-le-frith at Chinley Head and then a steady uphill walk to get to the ridge to Chinley Churn and the rocky Cracken Edge.

This is the Big Rock along that edge and the background is William Clough the western end of Kinder Scout in the Peak District. An Extra photo across to Kinder Low and a reminder of an October walk in that direction

It was nearly dark as I got back to the car but well worth the trip
