View from the Top Deck of the 59
A view of the Thames taken from the top deck of the 59 bus crossing Waterloo bridge and heading for the British Library and the Francis Crick Institute.
It was a fun and interesting day in the big city. The new(ish) British Library is brilliant and spectacular. The Francis Crick Institute the same, though the exhibition there was less interesting than we'd thought it would be.
We took the bus out and walked home. On the way home we were hungry and looking for somewhere to eat. We saw a sourdough pizzeria, Franco Manca and it turned out to be the he best pizza either of us have ever eaten.
Our evening at my sister's home was interesting... An electrician friend was fixing a new light in the kitchen. This seemed simple, and electrically it was, but it involved emptying one of those large cupboards where little used items go to rest (die?). Suddenly every surface in the kitchen was filled with bits and pieces. The new light was fitted. By midnight everything was cleaned and back in place.
