And so it begins.....

Perhaps a little early.....but....I enjoyed Kaiapoi's Santa Parade surrounded by young and old, I've never been before and was pleasantly surprised. With three Christmas Parades in the district in which I live Kaiapoi always starts the ball rolling.

Today also marks the return of the Coastal Pacific train journey from Christchurch to Picton return, after the Kaikoura earthquakes. I was at the station along with others bright and early waiting for the arrival of the train. It was great to see 10 people with bags hop on, doesn't sound like many but usually the train goes straight through as there's no one to pick up. The journey has been extended by 2 hours so not arriving back into Christchurch until 8.30pm.

It's all go in our small town, the circus is still here to :)
