It's not just colourful leaves in Autumn.
Out early, on one of my favourite walks today, at Rosemarkie, on the Black Isle. Haven't done the route in ages. You have to pass a short stretch of cliff near the start, before the tide cuts it off. Due to my dithering about (taking photos), I almost had to turn back. The tide had reached the cliff and there were some largish waves crashing in, and breaking in all directions. Managed to timed it right, to avoid a soaking. Thank heavens for wellies! Wouldn't have made it without them.
The footpath that later turns in from the shore, has become fairly overgrown, and neglected. Had bother finding the start of it. Must bring some secateurs next time. The route comes back to Rosemarkie via the Fairy Glen.
Back home: fitted the work horse (Fairly Rusty) bicycle with a new front gear cable; and cleaned/freed-up the whole transmission.
