Murk

What a contrast today was when compared to yesterday!  We woke to heavy rain and low cloud.  Nonetheless the dog needed walking so we thought we'd opt for a coastal walk in the hope of avoiding lots of mud.  This was good in theory except the tide was out revealing the mud flats. Merlin had to stay on the lead most of the time so as to stop him running off into the mud in pursuit of geese!  

On the return leg of the walk we decided to go slightly inland across fields but the footpath was churned up and very muddy.  Merlin had great fun wading around in pools of muddy water and running as far as the eye could see before returning to us panting and covered in muck.  He was less keen on being washed in the garden when we got home!

This was the view out to sea from the beach.  At least there were several Christmas craft fairs and an Advent service happening locally which cheered up the atmosphere.  Hoping you are keeping dry and cosy wherever you are spending your evening.
