Tall

Today we had the combo of amazement at the height of the trees and disappointment that someday it would "all be houses in here." I often wonder why this particular line of thought has been so consistent. Gone is the concept of a city park; ever present is the forethought of grief about how it'll all be mowed down someday.

Also teetering on the edge is "seat belt." A couple times in the past week she has reached for her pockets when I asked her to put the seat belt on. Today when I went ahead and did it for her, she said, "Oh, I forgot what that was."
