End of Year show

A big day!!! Today she got up just before 6 and spent 2 hours decorating her bedroom Christmas tree. She was just about to finish when B FaceTimed to show her the monkeys that were having breakfast with them! It meant that she got to see Katie putting the star on her tree too.

It was then off to band for the last normal rehearsal of term (they have a pre-concert rehearsal off site in two weeks though). They all wore Christmas jumpers and stuff today. Katie went head to toe Christmas!

We came home for some lunch, chill out and telly before putting her in the bath/getting show ready and picking up Lydi.

The end of year performances were great! She looked much stronger in commercial than in July. Her contemporary was beautiful. Her exam work really was stunning. She didn’t have the same confidence in her grade above work but she was much more lovely and knowledgable of it than she believed of herself. But she was gorgeous in the grade she’s just completed. Bless her, she did all 10 dances across the two shows and then in the senior show they all went on for a “leaps and kicks” finale, where they had a huge amount of fun before an impromptu curtain call that the dancers themselves put together and did beautifully!

A couple of extras tonight- one of her putting the angel on our tree, two more of her class work in the show and one of the aftermath when we got home, during a little bit of time with Grandad & Granny
