The First Advent Sunday

Today was the first Advent Sunday. Lots of traditions are linked to it. We lit the first of four candles, counting down to Christmas. Two small Santas that mum got at the Christmas market wanted to be part of it. I advised them to move to a different candle for safety reasons.

Mum went to church so we missed the live ladies’ skiing from Lillehammer Norway. Apparently it was fabulous and very crowded in the Cathedral, with lots of music such as parts of the Messiah. Mum used to sing in the Cathedral choir so she liked this. Then we both went to Grandma for Advent fika. I got a meatball and the humans had lussekatter, special saffron buns. Grandpa was missed both at church and for fika.

We’re now watching the skiing on catch-up. It is going to be a fabulous fabulous cross-country skiing winter season! Go Sweden!
