Come rain, come shine.
We got it all today, but that didn't dampen our spirits.
The annual Railway Children Walk from Haworth. We have done it in all weathers, but I think today was the worst.
However it did stop raining when we stopped for lunch.
Sat on the benches outside the tourist office.
We got some funny looks from passers-by as we ate our sandwiches. Especially from one young lady, dressed to the nines.Long black boots with enormous tall thin heels. No idea how she could walk along the cobbles, but she did.
She looked at us as if we had crawled out of the gutter!
When she had gone we were very sorry Mr C hadn't held out his flat cap for a bob or two!
Then home for the turn on of our village lights ( see extra)
I had a friend who was singing in the community choir, and just managed to to get there in time for the last half hour.
It was great to see so many people turn out.
Fortunately the weather stayed fine.
Now off to make tea before the Strictly Results.
What a fabulous show last night.
Advent Christmas Cracker Joke. No. 2
Wife: We should get some fish to feed the cat.
Husband: " Shaking head" they'll forget as they have very short memories.
