Winter trees

Today's the day ……………………… for fifty shades of grey

It has been a very monochrome sort of a day today with lots of thick cloud and drizzly rain - followed by an absolute downpour.

But then, just before darkness set in, the sky lightened around the horizon and things improved - for all of about an hour.  The only thing that keeps me going is that in less than three weeks, we'll have passed the shortest day.

And after that, it'll be plain sailing ………………………..?!
