Graça a Deus

We relocated the research camp from Chimanimani National Reserve main office to another site in the Reserve buffer zone, called Ndzou Camp. It's in an area very fragmented by forest loss, but situated in a lovely forest patch surrounded by birdsong at the top of a steep drop.

Sundays in rural Mozambique appear to be spent as in many parts of Africa. At this store where we stopped to buy cold drinks (named Graça a Deus - thanks to God - which I love), various inebriated characters were milling around. One is pictured in front of the shop entrance, occupying himself with a little dance.
