My goodness! It's a year to the day since I blipped a repair I was doing on a 1970's Kenwood mixer for a friend. Today I was repairing a 1980's one for the Catering department.
This is the motor unit out of it. A different design, and easier to work on, and replace parts... that is, once I realised that the reason the components I'd desoldered, weren't coming off the circuit board, was because they were glued to it! That was a new one on me, and the clear glue used wasn't obvious without close examination.
I bought a parts kit for this (standard fault) from a shop via ebay. Also, the brushes were worn out. Took a while to clean up all the carbon about the place, from all that wearing. Everything was black with it.
