I'm still trying to get into the Christmas spirit, so I went to Blackheath this afternoon to watch the switch on of the Christmas lights. I couldn't actually see or hear who the guest was who was doing the 'grand turn on' of the strung up bulbs, but after the countdown and quite a few tense seconds later, they finally came on!
All of my photos of the lights were terrible, but the Salvation Army were there singing carols and I got a reflection in a brass instrument (I just can't think what it's called at the moment!) of Blackheath village and the waiting crowds.
I'm off to stay at my sister's until Monday night, so will blip again on my return.
