Crossing the ford

The walking group were doing an easy flat walk this morning, going along lanes and canal around Maesbury.  It was pouring with rain first thing but I risked it and was glad that I did as the rain stopped as soon as I arrived and it stayed dry for the whole walk with the sun shining by the end.

Only nine of us turned up but it was lovely to have a walk and catch up with people.  The photo is of the group crossing the ford over the brook which was very full. 

I did a bit in the garden this afternoon, lots of birds were at the feeders and the mistle thrush on it's usual tree a couple of gardens away.
